You will soon receive your invitation to renew your REEF membership for 2012. Our membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. We sincerely hope that you observed the benefits of membership over the past 12 months and, despite the difficult business environment, the decision to ‘stay on board’ is an easy one!
We would like to briefly highlight the many ways in which REEF has added value to membership in 2010:
Our workplace relations team has responded to almost 10,000 calls from members during 2011 where we offered professional advice on a broad range of employment related issues;
Complimentary access to our highly popular People Management System;
Assisting dozens of members in the preparation of agency specific commission/bonus structures for sales and property management representatives;
Representing over 50 members who had been served with an industrial claim relating to matters such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, general protections or underpayment of wages and other employment entitlements;
Working with members to help resolve employment disputes with their employees;
Provision of a comprehensive wage booklet to help members properly determine their minimum wage obligations under the industrial awards;
Drafting over 100 “Individual Flexibility Agreements” on behalf of members;
Reviewing employment contracts for legislative compliance;
7 newsletters and 11 email alerts containing important employment information and advice;
The preparation and distribution of new Fact Sheets to help members better understand their obligations in relation to important employment topics
In conjunction with REI, we conducted 19 industrial briefings during June/July/August throughout NSW;
Complimentary registration of all agreements lodged as required by the Real Estate Industry Award 2010;
Obtaining a continuation of the tax exemption on car allowances paid to employees of our members.
